A Warm Yorkshire Welcome
We invite you to eat, sleep and discover the Yorkshire Dales with The Tennants Arms Hotel as your base. Enjoy our traditional country inn with 10 boutique hotel rooms. Situated in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, in the beautiful village of Kilnsey, nestled beneath Kilnsey Crag, our guests are granted spectacular views over the Dales countryside. The hostelry was once an important coaching stop on the busy route from Richmond to London and retains much of it's authentic rustic charm.
The 'back road' from Grassington to Kettlewell, passing through Conistone, is designated as a cycleway, and from time to time is used for internationally acclaimed cycle races. For walking and hiking you will find no better area than Kilnsey and Conistone in Upper Wharfedale. Close to the Dales Way, Mastiles Lane, Scott Gate Lane and Bycliffe Road, you can set off with a guidebook from our doorstep in any direction and explore a myriad of footpaths and bridleways, both easy and challenging.
Our gastro-inn is a place to take time out and relax, enjoy a pint in passing, take delight in a pub meal and if you wish to stay longer, check in to one of our boutique, en-suite rooms at the hotel. Explore the local market towns of Grassington, Skipton &Bolton Abbey with easy access to all the activities and attractions that the Dales have to offer. Enjoy our quality, home cooked, locally sourced British food, a good range of local cask ales and fine wines all served with the warmest of Yorkshire hospitality. We have a great beer garden for those summer afternoons and evenings and cosy real fires to warm you in the colder months.
Celebrate your special occasions with us in our beautiful oak function room, which can provide seating for 24 and is perfect for private parties.
